Winstanley College Art Department is housed in purpose built studios including specialist areas for Graphics, Photography, Textiles, Art, Craft & Design. It also has its own workshop, dark room, print area for silkscreen, collograph and etching and kiln room for ceramics. The building was officially opened in June 2003 by the sculptor Peter Randall-Page.
